The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor / HSEQ Lead to play a pivotal role in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring excellence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality performance across our operations. This is a Fly-In-Fly-Out (8:6) role from Perth Airport, supporting high-risk, operational environments.

About the Role:
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the HSE Management System while ensuring compliance with statutory, client, and organisational requirements.
You will work closely with operational teams, providing expert HSEQ advice, leading incident investigations, and driving proactive risk management initiatives across site.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and ensure compliance with ISS and client HSE policies, procedures, and statutory obligations
- Lead implementation, auditing, and ongoing improvement of the HSE Management System and site-specific HSE Plans
- Develop, maintain, and review risk management documentation including risk profiles, hazard registers, SWPs, SOPs, JHAs, competency standards, assessment tools, and training plans
- Manage HSE documentation, registers, reports, and client reporting requirements
- Oversee incident management, investigations (including high-potential incidents), corrective actions, and return-to-work programs
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly HSE reports and safety performance metrics
- Monitor induction, training, and competency compliance, including LMS management and reporting
- Facilitate safety leadership initiatives, toolbox talks, and site safety meetings
- Collaborate with site teams to support the safe and efficient delivery of on-site activities
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance, productivity, and KPI outcomes
About You:
You are a proactive safety professional who leads by example and thrives in operational environments. You communicate confidently, influence effectively, and are comfortable working autonomously on site.
You will bring:
- Certificate IV in WHS (or higher qualification)
- Proven experience in a WHS/HSE role within resources, construction, facilities management, or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of State WHS and environmental legislation
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards
- Lead I-CAM Investigator certification with experience in serious/high-potential incident investigations
- Strong reporting, analytical, and documentation skills
- Confidence using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and manage change
Additional Requirements:
- Unrestricted C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth Airport
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks
