Our team is growing and we are currently seeking people to join us in the position of Vendor Performance Manager to work from our client site in the Melbourne CBD, employed on a Full Time basis.

The role will have reporting lines to the Key Account Director for our banking client and to the Category Manager within the ISS Procurement and Supply Chain team and will work with other key members of the risk and compliance teams across the ISS Global team.

With a primary focus on the selection, evaluation and management of vendor partnerships to achieve business and client goals, the role will also utilise strategic partnerships, along with data analytics, to solve problems and achieve operational excellence.

Other areas of focus will include using strategic sourcing principles in the procurement process, driving purchasing decisions based on budgets, analysis and market, and, specifically developing and delivering Projects (managing resources, Commercial Governance & Practices Compliance, developing and management of the supply chain strategy for the client delivery). 

This is a key ‘hands on’ role in the Supply Chain and Procurement function, which will shape business improvement through detailed analysis that challenges the status quo to deliver true impact. We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and enjoys working in the detail as needed.

 

The Position:

  • Drive strategic procurement activities include the evaluation of purchasing decisions on supply and outsourcing
  • Continuously monitor and report on the risk and control environment in compliance with relevant regulatory, industrial legislation, contractual obligations and controls and in accordance with agreed policies, standards and procedures.
  • Managing and measure the performance of vendor partners to drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the portfolio via regular business reviews as per the client-endorsed vendor risk matrix.
  • Work and manage the relationship with subject matter experts' teams to ensure sustainable supply chain alignment and deliver cost effective outcomes
  • Monitor and ensure vendor partner compliance with contracts terms is met and service level is delivered
  • Foster long term relationships with third party vendors to drive positive operational delivery including resolving disputes and any vendor related issues that may need attention
  • Focus and deliver social procurement, sustainability and innovation to address challenges and build solutions that add value to communities and eco systems
  • Actively collaborate to drive Social Procurement initiatives across projects and operations to generate social benefits such as increasing contracting opportunities for Social enterprises and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and businesses.
  • Evaluate sourcing procedures and present potential improvement strategies to management for review

Our ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in business, finance, procurement or a purchasing environment (with around 4 years experience within the Facilities Management industry ideal).
  • Demonstrated ability to be target orientated, focus on quality and deliver to a high standard.
  • Experience in the delivery of operational excellence with a focus on inclusion, sustainability and health and safety focus.
  • Experience in price negotiations, preparation of budgets and improving and monitoring the appropriate cost controls are in place.
  • In depth analysis experience using multiple data sources to explore and agree a baseline and promote procurement savings.
  • Evidence using influencing and negotiation skills to gain stakeholder approval in project execution.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with difficult stakeholders and conflict management.
  • Well-developed time management and organisation skills with the ability to deal with multiple issues, pressures and deadlines concurrently.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
