Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for delivering high-quality cleaning services? We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations for our Defence Site.
The Position
As the Supervisor, responsible for overseeing cleaning services across multiple facilities. They will assist in developing and maintain the cleaning services of the base Operations. You’ll be responsible to deliver a proactive cleaning service and look to remove barriers that impact on the team's ability to perform.
- Supervise cleaning teams across multiple shifts, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Coordinate rosters, manage attendance, and arrange cover for absences.
- Conduct site inductions, training, and ongoing development for staff.
- Monitor stock levels and oversee the safe use and storage of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds and deal with sensitive issues in a manner that is respectful of people individual dignity, cultural values and religious beliefs.
- Ability to balance the requirements of working in a secure environment whilst promoting healthy routines for clients.
- Identify and escalate risks, safety issues, and operational challenges.
🎯 What We’re Looking for:
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role as a cleaning supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Supervisory skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement across a team.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the role, environment and emergency protocols.
Mandatory Requirements
- Australian Citizenship
- Provide a Clear Police check not older than 60 days.
- Ability to obtain a pre-employment medical clearance (including Drug & Alcohol testing)
- Relevant qualifications are essential
- Defence or military experience – highly desirable
- Open to obtaining a defence clearance through our process.
