Are you hands-on, reliable, and ready to become a key part of a school community? We’re looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our school's team, reporting to the Senior Caretaker and supporting the delivery of daily maintenance, security, and support services. This role is essential to keeping environments safe, operational, and vibrant for students and staff.

Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking people to join us in the position of Campus Caretaker at Aldinga, employed on a Full-Time basis. Your working hours will be 10:00AM to 6:00PM Monday to Friday, but may also include after-hours and weekend work, such as supporting out-of-hours events and being on call to respond to after-hours emergencies, where required.

The Position:

  • Carrying out day-to-day caretaking duties, from grounds maintenance to minor repairs and equipment setup
  • Supporting access and security operations, including emergency response and after-hours callouts 
  • Assisting with cleaning services, toilet checks, consumable replenishment, and waste collection
  • Coordinating contractors and ensuring site safety standards are maintained 
  • Managing carpark traffic and helping prepare for campus events

Minimum Criteria:

  • Ability to supply/source a current National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check
  • Solid experience as a Handyman, Trade assistant or Facility support 
  • Strong communication and a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and OH&S principles
